Ημερίδα Software Conference in Balkans

Επιστροφή στην Ελλάδα μετά από μια καλή εμπειρία στην Αλβανία το Σαββατοκύριακο.

Υπάρχουν αρκετές γνώσεις για τα ανοιχτά ελεύθερα λογισμικά στην Αλβανία. Αυτό είναι σίγουρο. Σε όλη την Ημερίδα, μάλλον είδα προσωπικά μια φορά μόνο έναν υπολογιστή σε Windows!  Τα άλλα ήτανε σε Ubuntu 10 γενικότερα...

Τα συμπεράσματα μου για την Ημερίδα σε σχέση με αυτά που ασχολούμαι είναι:

- Wordpress είναι γνωστό και υπάρχει developers
- σημαντικό ενδιαφέρον από τη Βραζιλία για την ελευθερία του format DWG του AutoCAD. LibreDWG

- OpenStreetMap βρίσκεται σε μεγάλη ανάπτυξη στο Κόσσοβο και στην Αλβανία τα τελευταία χρόνια. Υπάρχει μια καλή απεικόνιση της χαρτογράφησης εδώ.

Υπήρχε μια καλή παρουσίαση από τον Αμερικάνο Rob Savoye άλλα ήμουνα λίγο εκτός... λόγω τεχνολογίας. Παρουσίασε τα Autotools GNU  άλλα είμαι άσχετος σε αυτά...

Have fun to work with Open Source tools...

I am back in Greece after a good experience in Albania. It was an interesting week-end.

I understood that there is a lot of  knowledge about the Open Source softwares in Albania. For all the seminar, I saw just one Windows System. I was very surpised with this good thing... All in Ubuntu System, I was crazy.

The results about this week-end  for me are:

- Wordpress is famous and there are developers about this tool, in Albania too! So, I am not alone....Hi hi...
- One has a great interest about the Opened file of AutoCAD. It is a project from Brazil: LibreDWG.
This community looks like a ''Hackers team''. How to decode this difficult format?

- OpenStreetMap is a good example for an Open Geodata. We remark a very good increase of the digitalizing area in Kosovo and Albania.This link illustrates this very well:

To conclude, it was a presentation of Rob Savoye but I can say that it was very specific and I didn't undestand all the presentation. I was outside of the subject. The presentation was about the Autotools GNU...
