NSDI in FYROM

Every year, it takes place an event in Skopje about the realization of the National Spatial Data Infrastructure (NSDI).
In 2009, I was in Skopje to present the company's experience of open source geospatial tools included in a system like a SDI. The second time, I went at this event to present ''my'' experience of the Open Source tools for setting up quickly an effective Web Applications available to manage the spatial data. It was one of my first presentation in a international event like a freelancer (Evkartenn).

This year, the organization is different and not managed by the University of Tetova but this event is carring out by the National Cadastral Agency of FYROM.
So this year, subject was : “The impact of the national spatial data infrastructure in society, challenges for establishment”

MapFish, an OS Geo Project

MapFish is now an OSGeo project

The MapFish project has satisfied the requirements of the OSGeo incubator and is now an official OSGeo project. The following components are part of the incubated OSGeo project:
- MapFish Python Framework
- MapFish Print
- MapFish Rails Plug-In

Εργαστήρια Open Source GIS

 Σας βάζω ένα μήνυμα που ανέλαβα από την λίστα του ΕΛΛΑΚ... Προκείται για ένα εργαστήριο με Γ.Σ.Π στην Αθήνα τις 15 Σεμπτεμβρίου.

Η Εταιρεία Ελεύθερου Λογισμικού / Λογισμικού Ανοικτού Κώδικα (http://eellak.gr/ ),
στο πλαίσιο της δράσης της "Ημέρες Συνεργασίας:ΕΛ/ΛΑΚ & Επιχειρηματικότητα"
ξεκινάει το δεύτερο κύκλο των τεχνικών εργαστηρίων για αυτή την περίοδο με ένα
mini lab με θέμα Open Source GIS.

Το τεχνικό εργαστήρι θα διεξαχθεί την Πέμπτη 15 Σεπτεμβρίου στις 17.00 στο ΕΔΕΤ
(Μεσογείων 56, 4ος όροφος)

Οι εισηγήσεις θα γίνουν από τους:

- Θ. Βάκκα, Α. Μήτρου & Σ. Καμηλιέρη (Geospatial Enabling Technologiew - www.getmap.gr) με θέμα "Το ΕΛ/ΛΑΚ GET SDI Portal"
- Θοδωρή Στρατιώτη (ΙΠΣΥΠ/ΕΚ Αθηνά) με θέμα "Πρακτική αξιοποίηση Open Source GIS και Virtualization υποδομών για την ανάπτυξη και λειτουργία του geodata.gov.gr"

Ξεκιναεί η χρόνια δηλαδή...

Heron και GeoExt

Καλή επιστροφή σε όλους...
Ξεκινάμε μια νέα χρονιά και ελπίζω να μην χειρότερη από την προηγούμενη.

Πρώτο μήνυμα του 2011-2012, είναι μια εφαρμογή ή framework για τη δημιουργία ενός WebGIS σε GeoExt.
Είμαστε σύμφωνοι ότι η δημιουργία μιας εφαρμογής σε GeoExt είναι λίγο βαρετή μετά από 10. Γι΄ αυτό  Heron MC μας έκανε ένα framework έτοιμο να εισαχθεί.

Δηλαδή μπορούμε να πραγματοποιήσουμε μία μία κάθε λειτουργία της εφαρμογής. Με την εφαρμογή του Heron, πολλές λειτουργίες είναι ήδη ενσωματωμένες μέσα έτσι ώστε να δημιουργήσουμε μια εφαρμογή με λίγες γραμμές κωδικού για 5 ή 10 λειτουργίες.
